I'd pay a lot of money for these spikes, especially if they go in a charity-based auction like the one the IAAF just held. Maybe they'll hold another one in a year's time Confused

Wow, Maureen, your thread inspired a response from our "own" WR holder Wink as opposed to "Kajsa's result has inspired a response..." Wink
Paula, if you're reading this- you're my hero for donating your bib to the "IAAF for a Better World" project. Oh well, we lot considered you a hero before that as well, but you gave us all another reason to admire you. You're a true inspiration Very Happy

congratulations

i'm a bit shocked as i thought for her physical ht that 2'06 was probably her limit

just hope this place isn't at altitude or some excessively-bouncy floor !

Had to play that several times before the speed of the line here and the buffering enabled me to actually see her complete the jump Evil or Very Mad

I could get full commentary though which was most illuminating Confused OK so it was in Swedish and the only Swedish I know is Smorgesbord which for some reason wasn't mentioned in the commentary Exclamation

I do better with things Swedish. I then know Kajsa Bergvist, Carolina Kluft, Kallur sisters, Sven Goran Eriksson, Ulrika Johnson, Abba, IKEA, Saab and Volvo Laughing

Oh and now also know the Swedish for record jump is Rekordhopp Exclamation

It sort of translates into English.

Although I find the thought of calling that jump 'a hop' somewhat amusing Smile

I guess in English, you hop up onto a bed at the doctors or physios; clearing 2:08 just doesn't seem the same somehow Laughing

Cool video. Thanks Jon. How exciting for her! She made it look so easy, too Shocked - kind of reminds of another athlete who visits this thread periodically Wink

Speaking of which...

Hi Paula, hope your training is going just as you would have it!
