It was good to read Paulas diary, she promises to try and keep us more up to date.
She did mention that the site has been playing up lately, I agree with her although it now seems to be up and running smoothly again.
Once I was directed to the diary I posted a reply to Paula on there.
Roll on the weekend.

| I just wanted to let you know that you inspired me and a few of my friends who had babies last winter to train for a half-marathon. We completed the San Jose Rock N Roll half marathon last October, which was my first half and was ~9 months after having my lovely baby girl. Keep up the good work and keep inspiring us! |

Hiya Paula, i am an a level sports studies student. For our coursework we have to write about an elite performer and i have chosen you. I am trying to write how you progressed from local to regional to national level but have been unable to find much information about you before you were 19 years old and need to write about you at junior level, for example county training squads and district, running for your school and national traning squads and about how your influences at junior level made you have the talent to get to the level you have. I would be greatful if you would be able to point me in the direction of relevant material or would be able to tell me some.

HI Rachel, if you buy her autobiography, the newer version, white with a picture of her in a blue strip, at the back has all the races she has run from the 90s to 05 i think, but it also has annual progression as well! _________________ Olympic Year |

Hi Rachel,
She trained a lot with Liz Yelling in her early part of her, who has also represented Britain at the past two Olympic Games marathon and she was a great advocate of cross-country running, in order to build up strength. I need someone to confirm but I think the first time she went for altitude training was in 1995. She has done drills ever since she was very young too and always incorporates gym-work into her weekly schedule. _________________ I support;
